We are looking to recruit CYP IAPT Parenting Therapist (Maternity Cover)

Main duties:
To work as part of a team, situated in the London Borough of Lewisham, to deliver a range of Incredible Years group and 1:1 sessions support parents to build a more positive relationship with their child and help them to understand their behaviour. The CYP -PT Service works with parents who are concerned their child may have ADHD, or who have behaviours that make places and spaces unsafe to be in, or cause serious harm to themselves and others, children with:
- serious, high risk or distressing behaviours
- conduct disorders
- oppositional defiance disorder
- where ADHD is suspected or diagnosed
- Where ASC is suspected or diagnosed
Essential criteria:
- Possess a Post-graduate Certificate in CYP IAPT Therapy.
- Have experience of delivering Incredible Years Programmes.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of working with parents/carers to address child behaviour.
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge and understanding of issues relating to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.
- Experience of working with safeguarding issues and multi-agency working.
- Demonstrate the ability to use listening skills and work in an empathetic manner to enable and empower parents to make positive decisions about their children and their family lives.
Hours per week: 18
Weeks per year: This post is fixed term from September 2026 to December 2026 (15 weeks)
