The Early Years Alliance is the largest early years membership organisation and voluntary sector provider of quality affordable childcare and education in England. An educational charity, the Alliance represents the interests of over 14,000 member settings who deliver care and learning to over 800,000 families every year. We are looking to recruit Flexible Early Years Family Hub Worker.
We are seeking three Flexible Early Years / Family Hub Workers to join the Early Years Alliance team in Luton. Working within the Flying Start/Family Hub team, delivering services across the town, providing high quality universal and targeted services for families. You will be passionate about making a difference to children and families and have a sound understanding of child development. Current experience of working with parents and children under five is a requirement of this role. The role will require the ability to travel to sites.

Main duties:
- To support high-quality educational and fun sessions for children in their early years and their families, to support child development, early learning, positive health outcomes and positive parenting, including emotional literacy.
- Provide creche facilities as required, working with Flying Start/Family Hubs.
- Provide support to new parents across Luton’s diverse communities to help develop secure attachments and build strong parent/infant relationship.
- To be involved in the planning, delivery and evaluation of all sessions and activities that encourage the engagement of parents in their children’s learning, development, and wellbeing in their early years.
- To work as part of an integrated Flying Start team alongside other professionals so families can access seamless support to meet their different needs within their local communities, and support parents to access effective antenatal and postnatal care through partnership working with health providers.
Essential criteria:
- A commitment to continuing professional development including an early years or family support qualification.
- Proven experience of working with families and children aged 0-5 years.
- Excellent communicator – both verbally and in writing, able to communicate and engage with a broad range of people at all levels.
- Understanding of a multi-agency approach with professionals, early help teams, social care teams and other early years settings.
- Knowledge of the aims, objectives and ethos of Luton Family Hub and other national developments of services for children aged 0-5 years
